Breaking Big into Small chunks using split command

Geeks sometimes you might have faced a simple problem while sending some big attachment file using email.

Restriction on attachment size imposed by the server.

Then how can you send a big file that is bigger than the size limit imposed by the mail server.

Simple.

Use the Linux commandsplit

Split command can be used to split a big file into smaller chunks or files and then transmitting those files over the wire. The receiver can easily use the “cat” command to combine the pieces and get the whole file.

Worked well for pictures and video files also.

Here is a illustrated screenshot from my machine.

PS: You can specify the size in K/M/G, as per your choice.
