Sync specific files using rsync
You might be thinking that “enough of rsync” we had learned about it a lot in our RHCE Training, but believe me it is a tool that most of the system admins uses very often.
So here is one more tip for the day using rsync.
Suppose you just wanted to sync only certain files or directories to the target. Lets say in this example, you wanted to sync only files and directories starting with a certain alphabet ( “i” in my example) to the target and exclude all others.
You can easily use the –include and –exclude option of rsync to rescue you.
Here is again a illustrated example of the task.
