rsync command with –existing option

Now today lets do a vice-versa of the rsync command what we had done last. If you remember in the last rsync tip we had deleted the file from the target if the file is not present at the source.

Today we will see, the reverse.

How you can update (Sync) only the existing files at the target. In case source has new files, which is not there at the target, you can avoid creating these new files at the target, using the –existing option of the rsync command.
